Meet Owner & Head Vocal Coach, Deka S. Janifer.
Deka Trowery-Janifer is a reputable vocal coach out of Philadelphia. Former member of
girl group B.I.O.N formed with her 2 sisters Victoria and Kristina. Deka grew up with music around her. Both parents were singers as well. Their group A Perfect Blend, a Doo wop group, who were very popular through the 90s and 2000s. Deka receive her vocal training from her father growing up and also sang on the choir in middle school
and high school. She also played piano by ear and begin writing and composing her own songs at age 6 years old. Deka has performed on many stages throughout the tri state area. She also vocal produced for Warner Bros recording artist, Good Girl, local Philadelphia artist Feat, Project 215, Kwony & over 200 vocal students in a span of 10 years. Deka has also taught some Atlanta locals such as Judea V., Kayla Enfiniti, Karter- as well as a few celebrity clients such as Celina Smith - Better known as "Annie" on the NBC Live performance & Nickelodeon's "Young Dylan".. She’s also taught a few other singers who aren’t artist but enjoys singing.
Deka is currently building her
business in the music industry to become a successful vocal coach/producer and artist
developer, to create dreams for people who love to sing.
Deka is also a mother of two and married to the love of her life! For ten + years she taught in early childcare ages ranging from infants to 6th grade. Teaching has always been something she loved doing, and to add her gift of singing and music in with her daily Lesson planning made her love it even more. Deka enjoys cooking, watching judge shows and listening to her favorite girl group Blaque. She is super silly and enjoys being youthful. Deka is currently
receiving her bachelors degree in business administration and anticipate graduation

Kalief Janifer, affectionally known as “Karter” started his career as an artist, with a strong passion for songwriting. Although his talents landed him on stages such as Simon Cowell’s “X-Factor” and Sean Combs “StarMaker”, his marketing strategies and great sense of creativity afforded him opportunities to perform for respected names like Stephanie Mills, Michael Bivins, Ginuwine, Jazmine Sullivan, Brittany Spears, Demi Lovato, LA Reid, Carvin Haggins, and a lot more. Throughout the years of Karter’s music career, his drive and passion to be creative overruled his desire to be in the front. Although he loves the stage and charming his listeners with his songwriting abilities, creative branding and development felt like magic to him.
Kalief “Karter” Janifer studied Marketing at Norfolk State University and ended up going back to school to study Media Communications. He is a natural creative. He loves all things about music, art, design, writing and editing. He is known for having a sharp eye for detail, capturing his peers with quick wit and innovative ideas. This Virgo enjoys bookstores, earth tones, acoustic sets, the feeling when it rains, all things HGTV, and is a spaghetti fanatic. He prides himself on being a family man and also being spiritual. Karter is excited as he progresses in his career as a Songwriter and Creative Director. He is looking forward to what the new year will bring!
